Mosaic Fabrication & Installation - Church Street Retaining Wall

The objective of the Mosaic Fabrication and Installation for the Church Street Retaining Wall is to engage a skilled mosaic fabricator to support the installation of a mosaic on the retaining wall. This fabricator will collaborate with an artist chosen by the City of Norfolk Arts Commission to design a 400-square-foot mosaic that will enhance the features of St. Paul’s retaining wall in St. Paul’s.

The St. Paul’s Area Transformation Project is a strategic partnership between the City of Norfolk and the Norfolk Redevelopment & Housing Authority. As a key part of the City of Norfolk’s Resilience Strategy, the project’s goal is to reimagine and revitalize the Tidewater Gardens community as a resilient community of the future, while supporting current and future residents with education, job training, housing and entrepreneurial support.

The project includes Critical Community Improvement (CCI) Activities aim to connect housing and people and improve the overall neighborhood. The Church Street Retaining Wall Mosaic is part of the city's commitment to match of the original CCI dollars.
