Title: Santa Cruz Public Libraries Request for Library Print Materials
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 9/25/2024
Due Date: 10/30/2024
SCPL (“the Library”) is requesting proposals from qualified firms to submit a Request for Proposal (RFP) which will establish a Pool of Vendors from whom the Library may purchase books, as well as cataloging and processing services for library materials.
Vendors submitting proposals to supply books to the Library should complete the charts and supplemental questions. Contracts with selected vendors may provide for individual orders on an as-needed basis with a cumulative value of up to $500,000 per year at the sole discretion of the Library.
The Santa Cruz Public Libraries (SCPL) operates as a Joint Power Authority with the City of Santa Cruz providing administrative and contract management support. The library system delivers information, education, enrichment and inspiration through a network of 10 neighborhood library branches, a web-based digital library, a Bookmobile and community-based programs. SCPL serves children, teens and adults with innovative programming, professional services, and community facilities that spark imagination and support discovery. Residents can explore a wide range of interests from academic research, book clubs and literacy programs to digital photography, locally-produced music and local history. The Library has a positive reputation for providing relevant titles to our our patrons in a timely manner.
Currently, the Library uses the Polaris (Innovative) ILS in a hosted environment and uses EDI ordering and invoicing for library materials. Receiving is done through ASN.
