Project Description: Sealed Bids for the construction of the ROSEBAY ROAD RECONSTRUCTION – PHASE II will be received online via the PennBid Program, by Chestnuthill Township, until 3 PM local time on May 8, 2025, at which time the bids received will be opened and publicly available through PennBid.
The opened bids will be considered and possibly awarded by the Township Board of Supervisors at its regular meeting scheduled for May 13, 2025, at 7:00 pm at the Chestnuthill Township Municipal Building, 271 PA-715, Brodheadsville, PA 18322.
The Project consists of FULL DEPTH RECLAMATION, DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS, AND PLACEMENT OF 2A FILL ALONG A 2,010 FOOT SECTION OF ROSEBAY ROAD. THE PROJECT IS LOCATED ON ROSEBAY ROAD AT THE INTERSECTION OF ROSEBAY ROAD AND HYPSIE GAP ROAD AND WILL CONTINUE EAST FOR 2,010 FEET. THE PROJECT INCLUDES ANCILLARY ITEMS, SUCH AS GRADING, DRAINAGE, PIPE INSTALLATION AND REPLACEMENT, GRADE BREAK CONSTRUCTION, SEEDING, AND DRY LAID STONE WALL CONSTRUCTION. No access will be permitted through Jackson Township. ALL CONSTRUCTION TO TAKE PLACE BETWEEN AUGUST 1, 2025 AND SEPTEMBER 30, 2025.
Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bids shall be based on a lump sum basis as indicated on the Bid Form.

A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held on April 3, 2025 at 10 AM at the Chestnuthill Township Municipal Building with a site visit to follow.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The following wage rate requirements are applicable to this contract: Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act

Bids will remain subject to acceptance for the period of 90 days, but Owner may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to the end of this period
