PROJECT INFORMATION
Notice to Bidders: Qualified bidders are invited to submit bids for Project as described in this Document according to the Instructions to Bidders.
Project Identification: 26014 Site Improvements to Cook Primary School.
Project Location: Cook Primary School, 1531 Patterson St., Adel, GA 31620.
Owner: Cook County School District.
Owner's Representative: Joy Folsom, Superintendent of Schools.
Architect: Altman + Barrett Architects, P.O. Box 665 Hahira, GA 31632.
Project Description: Project consists of site demolition, grading, concrete curbs, concrete sidewalks, asphalt paving and base, seal coating and striping, and landscaping to construct additional vehicle staging areas on the campus of Cook Primary School.
Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work:
General Contract (all trades).

BID SUBMITTAL AND OPENING
Owner will receive sealed bids until the bid time and date at the location indicated below. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows:
Bid Date: Monday July 13, 2026
Bid Time: 2:00 p.m., local time.
Bids to be received at: Cook County Board of Education, 37 Josey Rd, Adel, GA 31620.
Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud.

BID SECURITY
Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of [5] percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of [60] days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.

DOCUMENTS
Printed Procurement and Contracting Documents: Obtain after June 11, 2026 by contacting Print Life Printing and Supplies, Inc., 1006 Williams St. Valdosta, GA 31601 or by calling (229)244-5598. Documents will be provided to prime bidders only; only complete sets of documents will be issued.
Payment: $200.00 made payable to Print Life Printing and Supplies.
Shipping: Additional shipping charges may apply.
Viewing Procurement and Contracting Documents: Examine after June 11, 2026, at the locations below:

TIME OF COMPLETION
Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed (est. July 14, 2026) and shall complete the Work prior to December 31, 2026.  Onsite work shall accommodate daily traffic and parking for parents, student pick-up, and student drop-off activities.

BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS
Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work.A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
