LEGAL NOTICE
REQUEST FOR BIDS
EOD RESPONSE VEHICLE
Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Allen County Commissioners in the Commissioners'
Office 204 N. Main Street, 3rd Floor Lima, Ohio until 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at
which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud for the purchase of an EOD Response
Vehicle for use by the Allen County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management.
Bid proposal forms, specifications and general requirements may be obtained from the Allen
County Commissioner's Office, 204 N. Main Street, 3rd Floor Lima, Ohio between the hours of
7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday and between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and
12:00 p.m. Friday. Bid specifications have been developed in cooperation with the Allen County
Regional Bomb Squad. The objective of these specifications is to obtain functional vehicle for
the response of the Allen County Regional Bomb Squad, transporting the equipment including
EOD robots.
Sealed bids are to be in writing and in accordance with specifications furnished by Allen County.
Bids in excess of $50,000.00 shall be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified or cashier's check
made payable to the Board of County Commissioners, equal to, but not in excess of five (5%) of
the bid upon condition that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into within ten (10)
days.
The Board of Allen County Commissioners' reserves the right to reject any and all bids received
and waive any irregularities in favor of the County.
All bids are to be sealed and addressed to the Clerk, Board of Allen County Commissioners,
204 N. Main Street, 3rd Floor Lima, Ohio 45801 and marked "EOD Response Vehicle" on the
outside of the envelope.
