Title: Elevator Maintenance Services
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 1/14/2026
Due Date: 2/20/2026
The County of Santa Cruz invites sealed proposals from fully licensed, insured, bonded, and certified CONTRACTORS to furnish all labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals required to provide Elevator Maintenance Services . These services would include preventative maintenance, repairs, testing, emergency response, and performance verification for County-operated hydraulic and traction elevators across multiple County buildings.
Established in 1850 as one of the state’s original 27 counties, the County of Santa Cruz was originally called Branciforte. The name was later changed to Santa Cruz, which is “holy cross” in Spanish. The County of Santa Cruz geographically is the second smallest county within the State of California yet it has one of the largest unincorporated area populations. The 2020 estimated population for the County of Santa Cruz by the U.S. Census Bureau was 270,861. The County encompasses an urban service area of 440 square miles.
The selected contractor shall provide comprehensive elevator maintenance, examination, lubrication, adjustment, repair, testing, and emergency response services for all County-operated elevators listed in the statement of work.
All elevator components are included in the maintenance scope. Building infrastructure maintained by the County and major capital replacements addressed through separate quotation are outside routine preventative maintenance pricing. Any component not specifically excluded is considered included as part of the contractor’s maintenance responsibility.
All services must comply with applicable codes, manufacturer recommendations, and industry best practices.
