Description

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Europe, Africa, Central (EURAFCENT) in Naples, Italy is developing a requirement for a two-phase Design-Build (DB) contract for the following:




  1. New construction of a Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) to house a small administrative office, a small chemical laboratory workbench, a standalone hazardous chemical storage facility, an industrial pre-fabricated wash pad, and a restroom;

  2. Modifications/repairs to the existing ultra-filtration building due to corroding equipment and structure from the chemicals contained within the building. Repairs include replacing and relocating ultra-filtration & chemical dosing pumps and all associated equipment; and

  3. Repair of one (1) existing potable water tank and two (2) fire protection tanks.



Work is to be completed entirely at the Naval Support Facility (NSF) in Deveselu, Romania.



In accordance with FAR 36.204 (and DFARS 236.204), the estimated magnitude of the construction project is between $5 million and $10 million.



All responsible sources interested in this requirement may submit a capability statement that describes the firm’s experience in performing Design-Build work that is of a similar size, scope, and magnitude as described in this announcement. Include identification of the Agency that issued the contract, contract number, description of the work performed, contract duration (i.e., award through completion) or period of performance, and total dollar amount or maximum value.



Please limit responses to two (2) pages, with minimum 12-pt font and 1” page margins. The Government will review each response received for market research and acquisition planning purposes only. The Government will not provide a response to any of the technical content submitted.
