Description
The Contractor shall provide design, drawings, specifications and construction services to include all engineering, labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, and transportation to convert Building 253 into a Mail Processing Center at the Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin.This project includes the procurement, design and construction to convert building 253 into a Mail Processing Center per SOW and drawings in Appendix A. This is a Design/Build project, and the contractor shall be responsible for editing and expanding the appropriate UFGS specifications to ensure that all project design requirements, current code requirements, and regulatory requirements are met in compliance with UFC 1-300-02. The current drawings are to be used as design basis drawings only. They are not intended to be utilized for construction. The contractor is to prepare construction drawings and specifications to be reviewed and approved by the Government prior to ordering materials, equipment and beginning construction. The following information provides direction for the contractor on how to proceed with the design aspects for this project.
