AQUATIC INVASICES REMOVAL AND TREATMENT. The City of Fairmont is soliciting proposals from qualified ecological restorations professionals to perform aquatic invasive species removal and treatment in Fairmont’s Chain of Lakes for the 2026 season, focusing on the control of curly-leaf pondweed while protecting water quality.  The contractor will obtain necessary MN DNR permits, perform mechanical removal, provide public notifications, and submit a final report summarizing methods, results, and recommendations for 2027, while coordinating with City staff, residents, and the Lakes Management Committee. A full copy of the RFP is available on the City’s website . Proposals are due by Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, at 12 p.m..
