Description

SUBJECT: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) has a requirement to FY25 Concrete Project – National Animal Disease Center in Ames, Iowa.



PROPOSED SOLICITATION NUMBER: 12505B25R0015

DESCRIPTION: The work includes concrete repairs, installations, and safety guardrail replacements in four areas on the Ames USDA campus. Complete specifications and drawings will be provided with the solicitation.



MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: The project magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000.



SOLICITATION PERIOD: A request for proposal is scheduled to release on or about May 30, 2025. Proposals will be due on or about June 30, 2025.



The acquisition will be issued as a Total Small Business Set-Aside, Request for Proposal (12505B25R0015) using the Contract Opportunities on the sam.gov website. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238120; Small Business Size Standard is $19.0 million. Product Service Code (PSC) is Z2PZ. A Bid Guarantee, Performance Bond, and Payment Bond will be required. It is anticipated that the award will result in a single award firm-fixed price contract.

Site visits are tentatively scheduled for June 10, 2025, at 9:00 CDT and June 12, 2025, at 1:00 PM CDT. The same information will be provided at both site visits, so offerors only need to attend one. Additional details, including how to register for the site visit, will be provided in the solicitation.

0002 - Option 1 - Area 1 - Building 3 & 4 Stairwell Curb, stair support and sidewalk area

0003 - Option 2 - Area 2 - Building 21 Sidewalk to employee entrance

0004 - Option 3 - Area 3 - Roadway Repair for access to Building 7 - Suite 1

The anticipated period of performance will be 180 calendar days from Notice to Proceed.
