Notice of Intent - Brand Name - Vehicle Maintenance Shop/AMSA

SPECIAL NOTICE: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Louisville District (LRL), will be soliciting a proposal for the construction of a 15,000 SF collocated Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA) and Vehicle Maintenance Shop (VMS) on Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) owned land at Defense Logistics Center Richmond (DSCR). As part of the construction contract solicitation, the USACE intends to include the following sole source requirements:

Keying System: The contract solicitation will include a sole-source brand requirement for Best Lock keying systems to be installed for all doors that are included in the project. The Best Lock keying system is the sole approved keying system by Defense Supply Center Richmond. Best Lock equipment will ensure consistent technology and meet the Army Reserve criteria.

Fire Alarm Panel/Transceiver: The contract solicitation will include a sole-source brand requirement for the following equipment:

• Notifier NFS-320 fire alarm panel with RS 232/485 port


• SigCom MNS-100EXP mass notification panel with LOC's


• SigCom Sixteen zone DTX transceiver.

The SIGCOM DTX Fire Alarm, SIGCOM MNS-100EXP Transceivers, and the Notifier NFS-320 fire alarm panel with RS 232/485 ports are the sole transceivers approved by the DLA-DSCR Installation and their fire department. The equipment will ensure consistent technology and meet the Army Reserve criteria.
