Bids will be received by the Guilford County Purchasing Department, at 220 Seneca Road, Greensboro, NC
27406, 2:00 P.M. Eastern Time, on September 10, 2026, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and
read for Elevator Modernization at the High Point Detention Center.
A MANDATORY Pre-Bid ZoomGov Meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 10:00 A.M.

A MANDATORY site walkthrough will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 3:00 P.M., at the High
Point Detention Center, located at 507 East Green Drive, High Point, NC. The walkthrough will be
conducted by RND Architects, PA and the Guilford County General Services Department.
Attendance at both the Mandatory Pre-Bid Zoom Meeting and the Mandatory Site Walkthrough on
Tuesday, August 25, 2025, is a condition of bid responsiveness. Failure of a bidder or firm to attend
both Mandatory events will result in the bid being determined non-responsive and ineligible for
consideration of award.
Bidding documents, drawing, and specifications are available for viewing on Guilford County's Vendor Self
Service automated bidding system at: https://guilfordcountync.munisselfservice.com
Any and all DOCUMENT CLARIFICATION REQUEST concerning the bid documents are to be emailed to
the office of RND Architects, PA, 3608 University Drive, Suite 204, NC 27707, to the attention of Charles
Nickelson, AIA, Charles@RNDpa.com with a copy to Jared Skelton, Jskelton@guilfordcountync.gov and
Guilford County Purchasing, DG_Purchasing@guilfordcountync.gov
Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashiers check or certified check, payable to Guilford County in
the amount of not less than 5% of the bid.
A performance and payment bond will be required from the awarded Contractor for one hundred percent
(100%) of the contract price.
Guilford County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
