Intent to Single Source

The purpose of this single source announcement is for the requirement for Initial/Recurrent ground school and flight training to FAA inspectors/pilots in the Falcon DA-6X for Flight Standards Service Training Division (AFB) employed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The FAA intends to award on a single source basis with CAE Simuflite, INC of Dallas, TX, as they are the only known source. It is anticipated the resultant contract will be an Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite Delivery with Firm Fixed Price CLINs. The contract is anticipated to be a base plus four options periods, a total of five years in length.

Purpose of the Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA’s decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures.

This announcement is for informational purposes only and not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. This requirement will be awarded to Boeing and is not available for full and open competition.
