Liquid Petroleum Gas Services

The City of Newport News (the “City”) is seeking proposals from qualified firms (the “Offeror” or “Contractor”) to furnish the goods and/or services described herein and proposals will be received via the City’s e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov Procurement ( https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/nnva ), to be received no later than Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 2:00 pm (local prevailing time).

The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified firms to furnish propane fuel, Autogas, tanks, repair services, emergency services and equipment inspections for the City of Newport News Department of General Services.

The City operates emergency propane generators that fuel pumping stations and buildings. The total gallons delivered are listed in Attachment A. Replacement of tanks shall be coordinated with the City. Tanks equipped with monitors, as specified in Attachment A, will require monitor installation to maintain automatic deliveries. Propane regulators and related components shall be inspected during the tank replacement process.
