Title: Vision-Guided Robotic Automation and Digital Twin Framework for Autonomous Experiments



This pre-solicitation notice serves as a synopsis and is posted in accordance with FAR subpart 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. This is not a solicitation. Vendors shall not submit a quote until, and/or if, the solicitation is posted to the Governmentwide Point-of-Entry via www.SAM.gov. This announcement shall NOT be construed as a commitment by Brookhaven Science Associates LLC (BSA) to award a Subcontract. Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) reserves the right to use any and all information submitted by, or obtained from, an interested party in any manner BNL determines is appropriate, including, but not limited to, the creation of a competitive solicitation.



Background:



BNL is a Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratory multidisciplinary research facility, located on Long Island, New York.



BNL intends to compete, full and open, for the research as noted in the title line above.



Need:



BNL has the following requirements:



Please see attached DRAFT Statement of Work (SOW) for required work.



BNL expects to make one (1) award.



The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 611310, Colleges, Universities, and Professional Schools, and the applicable PSC is U005, Education/Training – Tuition/Registration/Membership Fees. Interested parties must be registered under the NAICS code in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submitting their quotes.



BNL intends to issue solicitation RFQ-447848 in support of this requirement. The anticipated award contract type is a Cost Reimbursement contract. BNL anticipates the award date to be on or around September 01, 2026.
