ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

BID PROPOSAL

Sealed bids, in triplicate, for the Mecosta-Osceola ISD Bathroom Renovation will be

received at the MOISD Board of Education Office on February 26 at 10:00 am local

time. Bids received after this time will neither be considered nor accepted. The bid

opening will be a public opening conducted at the MOISD Office conference

room.

All proposals received by the time and date stated above will be opened and read

publicly.

Bids may be dropped off at the GDK Construction Office, 12 West 8th St, Ste 250,

Holland, MI 49423 by 5:00 pm local time on February 25, 2026 or mailed to GDK

Construction. Mailed bids must be received prior to 4:00 pm February 25,

2026. FAXED OR EMAILED BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

In accordance with Section 1267 of the Revised School Code each bid must be

accompanied by a sworn and notarized Familial Disclosure Statement completed by the

bidder disclosing any familiar relationships between the Owner or any employee of the

Bidder and any member of the District’s Board of Education or the Superintendent of the

District. Also required is the Affidavit of Compliance – Iran Sanctions Act.

SITE INSPECTION

A construction pre-bid meeting will be held onsite at 15830 190th, Big Rapids, MI

on February 17, at 3:30pm local time.

Contractors are required to park and enter the building on the North side – See site map

for location details.

All bidders are encouraged to attend.

Project is NOT Prevailing Wage

BID DOCUMENTS

The Bidding Documents may be viewed via GDK Construction’s Datto Workplace site

at https://gdk.workplace.datto.com/filelink/6b471-31dfd92b-a548091cf0-2 , MOISD

offices, and at Grand Rapids Builders Exchange. Bidding Documents will be available

AT 5:00PM February 10, 2026. Please note that contractors are responsible to review

information on all drawings and specifications and front end documents. Awarded

contractors will be required to complete the 06 MOISD Placement/Volunteer Form

(Sections 1 and 3) as well as any requested documentation listed on form. Form is

saved in front end documents folder.

RFI CUT OFF

All RFI’s must be submitted by February 18, 2026 by 12:00 pm. Please submit to

Dustin Hemmes at dhemmes@gdkconstruction.com.

BIDDER QUALIFICATIONS

Bidders submitting a Bid for this Project shall have qualifications as follows: a. shall be

a reputable, recognized organization, with at least five (5) years successful experience

on work of this type and scope of this project; b. shall have a license where required by

public authorities having jurisdiction; c. shall have ample financial resources for work of

this magnitude.

BID SECURITY – PERFORMANCE BONDS

Each bid shall be accompanied by good and sufficient bid security or bid bond OR

Check in an amount not less than 5% of the Bid amount and shall secure the Owner

from loss or damage by reason of the withdrawal of the Bid by a Bidder or by failure of

the successful Bidder to enter into a Contract with the Owner if his Bid is accepted by

the Owner. Any checks will be returned to bidders once approval has been provide by

MOISD.

The successful Bidder will be required to secure Performance, Labor and Material

bonds for all contracts exceeding $50,000 from a surety company having a rating of A-

or better, for the full amount of the Contract.
