Summary

The City of Lakeland Water Utilities Department is seeking the services of a qualified and experienced Peerless & Flowserve pump contractor to provide annual inspection, maintenance, repair, and testing services for vertical turbine & split case horizontal high service pumps located at the T.B. Williams and C. Wayne Combee Water Treatment Plants, as well as the Highlands, Southwest & Southeast Booster Stations,or other applicable use to the City of Lakeland . The selected contractor shall possess demonstrated expertise in vertical and horizontal turbine pump systems and provide preventative maintenance services to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime of critical water production and distribution equipment.

This RFP shall result in a One (1) year contract, with an option for Four (4), One (1) year renewals upon mutual consent.



Background

The City of Lakeland Water Utilities Department operates two water treatment plants and three booster stations that are critical to maintaining reliable water service to the community. The vertical turbine & split case horizontal high service pumps at these facilities play a vital role in the treatment and distribution process and require routine preventative maintenance, inspection, and repair to maintain operational efficiency and system reliability.

The intent of this contract is to establish an annual maintenance agreement with a qualified contractor capable of providing specialized pump services, technical expertise, emergency support, and recommendations for repair or replacement when necessary. The contractor shall have experience working on similar municipal water utility systems and be capable of coordinating work schedules to minimize operational disruptions.
