• Invitation to Bid
a) 52nd Avenue:
.1 Conduct a pre‑overlay inspection with ISL and the Town of Calmar representative to identify locations requiring asphalt repairs, including potholes and crack rehabilitation.
.2 Contractor to complete asphalt repairs, including pothole repairs consisting of full‑depth removal and replacement with granular material having a maximum particle size of 50–75 mm, placed to match the existing pavement structure. The existing granular pavement structure is expected to be between 300 mm and 450 mm in depth. Granular material shall be compacted and placed on tri‑axial geogrid material and a non‑woven geotextile separator.
.3 Remove and replace existing monolithic concrete sidewalk and rolled face curb and gutter on the north side of the avenue as shown on drawings.
.4 Remove and replace existing rolled face concrete curb and gutter on the south side of the avenue as shown on drawings.
.5 Sawcut and remove a 0.5 m wide strip of asphalt adjacent to the existing lip of gutter to provide working space for curb construction and to create a smooth transition with the proposed asphalt overlay. Provide traffic accommodation to allow traffic flow and resident parking throughout the duration of construction.
.6 From the edge of the sawcut described in Clause .5, mill a 0.5 m wide strip at a depth of 50 mm (minimum) into the existing asphalt roadway to provide tie‑in to the existing asphalt and achieve a minimum 50 mm asphalt overlay thickness.
.7 Place asphalt prefill from the lip of gutter to a width of 1.0 m, filling all areas described in Clauses .5 and .6 to match the elevation of the existing asphalt.
.8 Place a minimum 50 mm asphalt overlay throughout the roadway, extending from the constructed lip of gutter on either side of the road, filling all voids, milled areas, and prefill locations.
.9 Landscape restoration adjacent to concrete works.
.10 Provide traffic accommodation to allow traffic flow and resident parking throughout the duration of construction.
b) 52nd Street:
.1 Conduct a pre‑overlay inspection with ISL and the Town of Calmar representative to identify locations requiring asphalt repairs, including potholes and crack rehabilitation.

.4 Sawcut and removal of the west existing concrete walk, rolled face curb & gutter and replace with rolled face concrete curb and gutter.
.5 Sawcut and remove a 0.5 m wide strip of asphalt adjacent to the existing lip of gutter to provide working space for curb construction and to create a smooth transition with the proposed asphalt overlay. Provide traffic accommodation to allow traffic flow and resident parking throughout the duration of construction.
