The Denver Department of Public Health & Environment's (DDPHE), Maternal Child Health (MCH) Program seeks a consultant to support perinatal support service providers, as well as families, in navigating the current perinatal resource landscape and coming changes, as well as new challenges and/or opportunities in the coming years.
The MCH Program works to optimize the health and well-being of pregnant/birthing people, families, caregivers and children by employing primary prevention and early intervention public health strategies. Programming includes childcare support, community outreach & safety, care coordination for children and youth with special healthcare needs, and doula support. Specific to doula supports, Denver works with local organizations to support recruitment and training of doulas who go on to work with expecting families in historically underserved communities.
