Title 2025 Materials Concrete Bituminous and Aggregate

Respective Bids will be accepted at the office of the City Clerk, C/O City Hall, 101 S. Locust Street, Centralia, Illinois 62801, until 10:00 A.M. on February 21, 2025. Bids will be opened and read aloud at the same location at 11:00 A.M.

The bid documents are on file at the office of the City Clerk, 101 S. Locust Street, Centralia, Illinois. Copies of the bid documents may be obtained at the office of the Department of Public Works and Engineering at 114 E. 5th Street, Centralia, Illinois or by phone at (618) 533-7640.

Questions concerning the bid or the specifications may be directed in person or writing to the Department of Public Works and Engineering at 114 E. 5th Street, Centralia, Illinois or by phone at (618) 533-7640.Interpretation of the bid documents will be made only by addendum duly issued and a copy of such addendum will be mailed or faxed to each person listed as receiving a set of such bid documents.  Any person requesting an interpretation will be required to make the request not less than five (5) working days in advance of the bid opening.  The City of Centralia will not be responsible for any explanation or interpretation other than the addendum(s) issued.

BIDS must be accompanied by a BID DEPOSIT of 2% of the total bid.  BID DEPOSIT shall come in the form of a cashier's check or certified check made payable to the "City of Centralia, Illinois." No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the actual opening date of the bid.

BID DEPOSIT of the successful bidder will be held in lieu of a CONTRACT BOND equal to the full amount of the award.  BID DEPOSIT(S) of the remaining bidder(s) will be returned once an award is made.

The City of Centralia, acting through the Mayor and the City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept the bid that appears to be in the best interest of the City of Centralia.

Bidders are instructed to read and fill out the bid forms completely.
