Project: Drop Off Improvements

Oad Ridge Elementary School

To All Bidders:

Contractors submitting proposals for the above-named project shall take note of the following changes, additions,

deletions, and clarifications on the Bid Documents, which shall become a part of and have precedence over anything

contrarily shown or described in the bid Documents. A revised plan is attached to coordinate location of addendum

items.

RECEIVED QUESTIONS:

1. Please advise regarding the anticipated Start Date?

Start Date will be specified in the Contract. Bid Document reflects 60 days for completion of the project

from NTP. Actual work completion will be related to the Completion of Duke Energy moving the necessary

Power Pole.

2. Please advise regarding the work hours?

Edits were made to the Project Specifications under the “Ensuring Normal Operations” Section, with the

following statement being added: “Work shall not be completed between the hours of 7-7:45am and 1:30-

2:45pm during school day drop off and pick up times.”

OTHER NOTES/ADDITIONS TO PLANS

1. Curb Cut added to the Fire Lane with a minimum of a 20’ section.

2. Bollards (min. 3’) added behind the Fire Lane Curb Cuts for future chain gate to be added by Owner.

3. 9” Diameter Dead Tree added to Tree Removal.

4. Note Added that the 4 Removed Trees to be replaced by 4 Red Maple Trees with minimum 1” diameter trunks,

as measured at least 1’ from the ground, and are to be replaced at locations to be specified by the Owner

5. Lane Arrows removed from the Plan, Not to be Painted.

6. Lane Lines clarified on plans with Note added that the Drop Off Lane Striping to be solid white lines in

locations shown on plans.

7. New Parking Striping still to be located as shown on plans with similar marking color and width as existing.

8. An Ex. 18” RCP was Removed from the Plan, as it no longer exists.

9. Pavement Detail Revised for the Section: “If Dimension A is 6 ft. or less use:” (I-19.0C 4”)(B25.0C 4”)

10. The Inv.for Bids and Specs Document was edited to indicate that Sealed proposals will be received until

September 9th, 2026.
