MESA DRIVE WATER MAIN EXTENSION
General Notice
The City of Fernley (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
Mesa Drive Water Main Extension
City of Fernley Project No. 2025.005.1
PWP# LY-2026-187
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the City of Fernley Engineering Department located at 595 Silver Lace Blvd., Fernley, Nevada, 89408, until Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
The Project includes the following Work:
Construct approximately 700 LF new 8-in PVC C900 water main from existing 12-in water main in Mesa Drive to point of connection with existing 8-in water main that comes from water treatment plant interior fire loop; existing 8-in main from plant fire loop to future point of connection will be retired in place.
Proposed 8-in main is located within Mesa Drive (City of Fernley right-of-way) and City of Fernley Property (along north bank of TCID ditch, and immediately outside of TCID ditch easement). The water main will cross under the TCID ditch easement in a 16-in steel carrier pipe.
Bids are requested for the following Contract: Mesa Drive Water Main Extension, City of Fernley Project No. 2025.005.1, PWP# LY-2026-187.
Owner anticipates that the Project’s total bid price will be approximately $252,000-$308,000. The Project has an expected duration of 15 working days.
Prevailing wage rates for Lyon County shall be posted on the work site and paid to all classifications of labor as required by the laws of the State of Nevada.

Pre-bid Conference
A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 1:30 P.M. at Fernley City Hall, 595 Silver Lace Blvd, Fernley, Nevada, 89408. Directly following this meeting there will be a visit to the job site at the west end of Mesa Drive, outside of the Water Treatment Plant Gate, between 1305 and 1315 Mesa Drive, Fernley, Nevada, 89408. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.

For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
