GENERAL

1. The following addendum to the plans and specifications shall be considered a part of the Contract Documents

as if originally written and included in same. Where changes in materials or workmanship are made, same

shall take precedence over original specifications, however, changes which may affect the proper installation

or construction of materials or fixtures not mentioned must be brought to the attention of the Engineer before

submitting a bid, otherwise conditions found later to exist must be resolved properly without additional cost.

2. All addenda must be acknowledged on the bid form. Failure to acknowledge any addenda will cause the bid

response to be rejected.

3. Please note that all questions must be submitted to Stephen Gholston at sgholston@infinityec.com no later

than 10am on Wednesday, July 15, 2026

BIDDER QUESTIONS AND ENGINEER RESPONSE

1. Will the new HVAC equipment be integrated into the school's BAS or are standalone controls

acceptable?

The new equipment shall be BACnet compatible and will need to be integrated into the BAS by Synergy.

Please include in your bid Synergy’s services to run new thermostat wiring between the new units on the

first floor and Synergy’s already existing wiring on the second floor. Synergy will also need to program

their system and establish communication with the new units.

2. Is the project expected to be performed during normal school hours or will after-hours work be

required?

The project is anticipated to be performed during the summer of 2027. The exact schedule will need to be

coordinated with the school. Holidays and weekends can be available if needed.

3. Can the existing protective cages for the condensing units be modified and reused or are they to be

removed and replaced entirely?

The cages can be modified. The hinges should remain in operable condition and be repaired where

needed. Any seams added to the expanded metal sheet shall be reinforced with a piece of angle of

similar thickness welded in place.

4. The existing condensing units are mounted directly on grade. Will new housekeeping pads be required

for the replacement equipment?

Yes. CU-1, CU-2, and CU-3 will need a 3-1/2” thick concrete housekeeping pad installed underneath and

inside the cage. CU-4, CU-5, CU-6 do not need a new pad.

5. Sheet M3/Note 1 indicates that the AHU cabinets are to be removed and that the base trim and flooring

are to be replaced to match the existing finishes. Does the scope also include sheetrock repairs and

painting?

Yes. All architectural details exposed from the removal of the existing units shall be repaired to match

existing.

6. Please provide photographs of the interior of the AHU cabinet area, if available.

7. Is this project tax-exempt?

Yes. Please refer to Project Manual for documentation.

8. Will we be required to relocate the existing smoke detectors near the duct work?

Yes. If smoke detectors conflict with the new HVAC they will need to be relocated.

9. What is estimated budget for this project?

The estimated budget range is $215,000 to $240,000

10. If BAS integration is required, can you provide an estimated budget that includes this?

The estimated budget for the BAS integration is $20,000
