INVITATION TO BID
BID NO. 25-80-3150

The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will accept sealed bids until 2:00 p.m. (EST), Thursday, June 5, 2025, for the following:

Furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment required for the resurfacing of roads, totaling 58.18 miles. Asphalt Job Mix Formulas will be required to conform to Superpave Design Level ¿1¿ for 12.5mm and Superpave Design Level ¿1¿ for 9.5mm. Local funding and State LMIG Funds.
Copies of the Bid documents may be downloaded at no cost at www.forsythco.com on the ¿Procurement Bid Portal (Bonfire)¿ page.

All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check drawn in favor of the Board of Commissioners of Forsyth County, Georgia, in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a contract, will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond, in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) full penal sum of the Contract and Payment Bond, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the full amount of the Contract, as provided by law. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the Board of Commissioners of Forsyth County, Georgia, as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after being notified of award of the Contract.

All bids must remain valid for a minimum of 120 days after the actual date of the opening.

Award of the bid will be made at a later date. Forsyth County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to make an award deemed in its best interest. Bids may be split or awarded in entirety.

Bidders and the general public are invited to attend the bid opening at 2:30 p.m. (EST), Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Forsyth County Procurement Department, 514 West Maple Street, Suite 104, Cumming, Georgia.
