Over view: DOT is seeking an overhead door company to remove existing doors and hardware and install new doors and hardware for various overhead doors at the Manchester Maintenance Garage. Location: Manchester Maintenance Garage 1105 W. Main Manchester, IA 52057 Contract Award It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible contractor whose submitted quote is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders past work performance, and work capacity. Award will be made for any one group or combination of groups. All items within a group must be bid to be considered for a group award. Questions: Until the contract is awarded the sole point of contact for this project is Julie Brown (see bid contract information) any and all questions related to this project included during a site visit are to be submitted to Julie Brown in writing preferably through the ION wave Bid system. (See the cut off period for question submissions and Site Visit scheduling indicated below) DOT Estimated Start Date: Upon issuance of award(The date shall be coordinated with the IDOT Project Manager. (This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract). DOT Estimated End Date: 2/20/2025 (This includes resolution to all punch list items, inspections and DOT acceptance typically used in construction bids). Site Visits: A site visit is recommended and will be accommodated if needed prior to submitting a bid to ensure the vendor has access to view the job site. To schedule a site visit, contractors must contact the Purchasing Agent overseeing the bid at julie.brown@iowadot.us with a date and time of when you want to conduct a site visit. Contractors will be required to bring their own equipment needed for the site visit. All questions related to this project are to be submitted through the Ionwave bid system through the cut off period for question submissions.
