The King Conservation District (KCD) is seeking the services of a qualified contractor (Contractor) to complete the King Conservation District Hilltop Park (Burien) Restoration Project. This Project involves the treatment and control of invasive blackberry and other pervasive woody weed species and planting and planting approximately 475 trees and 2500 shrubs in cleared areas in Hilltop Park located in Burien, WA. The total project area is approximately 2.81 acres.

This Project consists of:

  1. Performance of mechanical, manual and/or chemical treatment of invasive blackberry, English ivy, holly and laurel, bird cherry and knotweed and other weed species at the project site
  2. Replanting cleared areas with native plants where invasives have been removed
  3. Maintenance of area for three summers

We anticipate the project schedule to extend from Spring 2026 to Winter 2026-27 with monitoring and maintenance through 2028.

A pre-bid meeting is available Monday, March 23 at 10:30AM at Hilltop Park (2450 S 128th St, Burien, WA 98168)
