RFQ - Grader Tender

Introduction

The R.M. of Wreford No. 280 (RM 280) will be accepting quotations for the trade in of one 150M CAT grader and supply of one new motor grader with basic specifications shown below and subject to the conditions and waivers noted, until 4:00 p.m. on October 8th, 2025 at the municipal office, 118 Main Street, Nokomis, SK. Quotes received after that date, regardless of post-mark, will not be accepted.

Quotes will also be received by email clearly identified as “Grader Quote” in the subject line to rm280@sasktel.net.

Basic Specifications

RM 280 wishes to either lease or purchase one new motor grader. Please include options for both a lease and purchase with full factory warranty of 5000 hours and 7500 hours for both options. RM 280 may consider bids for a new unit, a demonstrator unit, or a lightly used unit with minimal engine hours and full factory warranty. Please ensure specific items are listed separately and any options that are above the minimum requirements are highlighted to allow for a fair and proper comparison. Please ensure quote shows the anticipated delivery date of the specified motor grader.

The grader must be equipped with the following specifications:

The unit may be of any manufacturer with a minimum engine rating of 150-250 hp
Engine shall have a wet-sleeve cylinder liner designed for improved cylinder cooling over dry sleeve and cast-in-bore design and for improved cylinder and piston ring durability.
Engine displacement for a standard engine shall be no less than 9.0 litres (548 cu.in.)
Engine fan shall be able to automatically reverse and allow operator to choose the time internal for the reversal to occur through the vehicle monitor.
Auto shift shall be available.
The transmission shall have eight forward and eight reverse speeds with built-in diagnostics.
A guard shall be available to protect the machine’s transmission from debris.
Unit shall be equipped with system capable of automatically engaging and disengaging differential lock to optimize tractive capability, while at the same time providing the operator with the ability to manually engage differential lock during any vehicle operation.
LED turn signal, marker, and brake lights shall be provided.
The unit will come with a rear window electric defroster.
Automatic cross-slope will be available to hold a consistent slope on the moldboard with a single lever.
Ground level fueling and filling for diesel and exhaust fluid shall be standard equipment.
The mold board will have quick change circle wear and side shift wear inserts.
Front fenders will move with the front wheels and will be easily removable.
Rear fenders shall meet ISO-3457 requirements and shall not interfere with the ability to fully open any cab or engine enclosure, or service access doors.
Must have grade-pro controls (fingertip controls with steering wheel)
