NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that sealed bids for the construction of SEAL COAT, PATCHING, CONSTRUCTION, AND RECONSTRUCTION DISTRICT #26-41, will be received by the City of Jamestown at the office of the City Administrator until 1:15 p.m., Thursday, March 26, 2026, at which time all bids will be opened and read publicly.
All bids must be submitted on the PROPOSAL FORMS provided, and all work shall be done in full compliance with:
1) The PLANS & SPECIFICATIONS for the project.
2) Any GENERAL PROVISIONS and SPECIAL PROVISIONS for the project.
3) The CITY OF JAMESTOWN STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS 2026 which are on file in the offices of the City Administrator and the City Engineer of the City of Jamestown.
Copies of the PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, and PROPOSAL FORMS may be obtained from the City Engineers office, Jamestown, North Dakota, at a nonrefundable cost of $35.00.
The work consists of the following approximated quantities:
1)
135 CITY BLOCKS of PATCHING, CRACK SEAL, MILLING, LEVELING, AND SEAL COAT, and related items.
2)
11 ASPHALT CITY ALLEYS of PATCHING, CRACK SEAL, MILLING, LEVELING, AND SEAL COAT, and related items.
3)
AIRPORT ROADS & PARKING LOTS of PATCHING, CRACK SEAL, MILLING, LEVELING, AND SEAL COAT, and related items.
4)
AIRPORT BUSINESS PARK of PATCHING, CRACK SEAL, MILLING, LEVELING, AND SEAL COAT, and related items.
All bids are to be submitted on the basis of cash payment for the work and materials, and are to be enclosed in a sealed envelope which must be addressed to the undersigned City Administrator. In a separate sealed envelope that is attached to the outside of the bid envelope, there shall be a copy of the bidder's CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE or CERTIFICATE OF RENEWAL which shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid, executed by the bidder as principal, and by a surety company authorized to do business in North Dakota, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract for performance of such work if the contract is awarded to him. Bid bonds must be executed by a principal. Signatures by other than a president, vice president, or CEO, must be accompanied by sufficient evidence (duly executed meeting minutes, resolution, power of attorney, etc.) to indicate that the signatory has the authority to bind the company or organization. All bid security shall comply with SECTIONS 48-01.2-05, and amendments thereto of the NORTH DAKOTA CENTURY CODE.
There shall be endorsed upon the outside of the bid envelope containing the bid the following:
1) SEAL COAT, PATCHING, CONSTRUCTION, AND RECONSTRUCTION DISTRICT #26-41.
2) The CLASS OF LICENSE held by the bidder.
3) The NUMBER of the bidder's license.
4) The NAME of the person, firm, or corporation submitting the bid.
5) The DATE on which the license was issued or renewed.
All phases of the work shall be completed by September 1, 2026
The City Council of the City of Jamestown, North Dakota, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities, and to hold bids until the next regularly scheduled City Council meeting.
