The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit Sealed Request for Proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiation for the Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools for In- School Branch Banking for three (3) high schools.
The Financial Institution shall renovate, establish, maintain, and support an In-School Banking Branch facility at Lafayette High School, Jamestown High School and Warhill High School. It will be operated by students for students, faculty, and others agreed upon by the school and Financial Institution. The In- School Banking Branch will be designed to provide a multidisciplinary method to reinforce, augment, and support the objectives of the Standards of Learning for Mathematics, English, History and Social Science, Computer Technology, and the Career and Technical Education competencies through practical educational experiences that (a) allows students to apply mathematical concepts, communication and computer technology skills, and knowledge of economic principles; (b) allows students to develop proficiency in basic life skills pertaining to money management, personal finance, banking, commerce and trade, and investments, (c) facilitates financial literacy and an understanding of the American economic system, Virginia economy, the global economic system, and the effect of personal finance decisions on the national and state economic systems; and (d) permits students to explore entrepreneurships and career options in banking and finance. The Financial Institution shall renovate designated building space providing an operational Financial Institution facility.
