Questions and Answers for RFQ# 36C24825Q1033
Will you need a quote for a Monday Friday work week (5 days/8-hour shift) or 7-day (8-hour shift) work week?
Answer: The quote is to reflect a Monday Friday (M-F) work week (5 Days/ 8-hour shift) for a total of 40 hrs. per team member (160 hrs. a week for a Team of Four (4) Movers/Installers).
We could not determine the unit of work or the amount of work for which to determine pricing.
What is the work metric to establish pricing?
Answer: Refer to the Attachment 1 PWS, under Section 1.2 (pg.2) as it gives specifics and defines what is considered a work unit . It also states how many Movers/Installers is needed within an 8-hour period/shift for Relocation and Removal Services.
I noticed in the PWS a unit is defined as an 8 Hour workday and there are 24 units in a month with the option to schedule 12 additional units per month. The schedule is asking for a 9 & 12-month contract price. Am I assuming one month is 24 units per month?
Example:
1 unit = $1000
24 Units/MO = $24,000 x 12 MO = $288,000
If so, are we agreeing that the additional requested units are compensated at the same amount or am I including these as 36 total units per month?
Answer: Yes, the Federal Government is requesting monthly pricing for Twenty-Four (24) work units per month. For future funding/budget purposes at the medical center level, the Base Year is only for Nine (9) months, as this will align the contract to fall on the beginning of each Fiscal Year (FY) on 10/1 moving forward and not cross into different FYs.
I noticed of course we referenced a 74-mile max one-way travel in the scope of this job and understand there can be many variables on any given day providing some rare circumstances.
To prepare a reasonable and fair estimate for the VA for fuel and mileage, how many miles should we safely estimate for a given day based off the prior contractor's performance?
Answer: On a weekly basis, typically 2-3 offsite trips ranging from 10-60 miles round trip. The 75-miles one-way travel (150-miles round trip) typically occurs 3-4 times a month (providing some rare circumstances).
*** This is a courtesy reminder that ALL vendors who wish to participate for this procurement need at JAHVH MUST complete/sign/submit the Limitation of Subcontracting (LoS) Certification Clause (see Combined Synopsis/Solicitation) along with your quote and New Vendor Form (Attachment 2).
