Project Description
Pursuant to Chapter 2254 Subchapter A of the Texas Government Code, Williamson County (County) is seeking written proposals from qualified contractors to provide design and development of Interpretive Exhibits for New headquarters/Visitors Center at Berry Springs Park & Preserve, located at 1801 County Road 152, Georgetown, TX 78626.
Williamson County is currently constructing a series of voter approved parks bond projects at Berry Springs Park & Preserve, that includes: (1) headquarters/visitor center, (2) expanded paved parking, (3) open air pavilion, (4) maintenance shop, (5) remote restroom and (6) trail extension. These projects are estimated for completion no later than early 2025.
Project Background
The new headquarters/visitor center will serve as a gateway to Berry Springs Park & Preserve, an educational center for visitors of all ages, administrative space for staff and include public restrooms.
The publicly accessible lobby will be approximately 442 sq. ft. (13’ x 34’). Approximately 234 sq. ft. (13’ x 18’) of the lobby will be allocated for exhibits and interpretive information. (see schematics and pictures below)
Scope of Services
County intends to have the following services completed:
Complete design and development of interpretive exhibits. Specifically, the selected contractor will be required to:
• meet with the project team to discuss project parameters, budget and goals,
• create an Exhibit Concept Plan,
• research artifacts and interpretive data, including that provided by Williamson County representatives,
• prioritize exhibit topics and content through regular meetings with park staff, to include volunteer support group(s) as necessary,
• design, planning, and development of exhibits and interpretive presentations
• coordinate and direct installation of all exhibits
