The City of Alameda will accept sealed bids for its Underground Fuel Storage Tank (UST)Replacement Project by or before June 3, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.
There will be a mandatory Prebid meeting for this Project on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Maintenance Service Center, 1616 Fortmann Way and continuing at the Alameda Police Department Administration Building 1555 Oak Street, Alameda, CA. |

The Project includes, but is not limited to, performing the following Work:
2. Furnish all labor, tools, equipment, materials, except as herein specified and doing all work
associated with the closure, excavation and disposal of one (1) 6,000-gallon diesel USTand the procurement and the installation of one (1) new UST in the driveway behind the Alameda Police Department. The existing concrete slab below the UST will remain in place. The Alameda Police Department Administration Building is located at 1555 Oak Street, Alameda, CA 94501.This UST provides fuel for the building’s emergency backup generator, which must remain operational during construction. A portable generator will be installed in-place prior to the start of construction. Associated work includes the installation of engineered shoring inside the excavation, new double-walled fuel piping, new tank level monitor, new fuel fill bucket, new generator day tank, concrete site work, and parking stall striping.
Other work includes the demolition and removal of existing single-walled fuel piping, tank level monitor, fuel fill bucket, generator day tank, and the removal of asphalt and concrete paving in the area of work.
Contractor to secure all required permits from the Alameda County Department of
Environmental Health (the local CUPA) prior to tank closure and/ or removal.

To ensure receipt of any subsequent communications (e.g., an Addenda), each prospective bidder is responsible for confirming that their firm appears on the BPX plan holders’ list. Bidders are responsible for obtaining any and all changes to the plans, specifications, proposal forms, addenda, other project notifications, and documents during the bid process. A bid is invalid if the Bidder has not deposited it at the designated location prior to the time and date for receipt of bids indicated in this Notice Inviting Bids or prior to any addendum extension thereof.
