Description: The Port Authority Trans-Hudson Corporation (PATH) currently holds sole source contracts for various railcar parts and services with Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corp (WABTEC), located in Greenville, SC, as the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), including the following services: TITLE: OVERHAUL OF TREAD BRAKE UNITS ON PATH PA-5 RAILCARS BRIEF DESCRIPTION: WABTEC is the OEM of the tread brake units (PCP-style with parking brake and PC-style without parking brake) currently in use on PATH’s PA-5 railcars. OEM tread brake parts and assemblies are required for compatibility across the entire fleet. Wabtec will perform the overhaul, repair and testing at their plant in South Carolina. Parts to be overhauled include, but are not limited to, the following:
Firms who believe they can compete in the future for the supply of OEM parts or OEM-equivalents and for the specified services are required to submit an email with a brief statement of their intent and capability to compete. The Port Authority does not guarantee that firms responding to this notice will be rendered a request to tender an offer for this procurement. In addition, the Port Authority does not guarantee that any solicitation will occur for this procurement but reserves the right to solicit proposals.
