Overview

Summary

The City of Anaheim is seeking Proposals for Forensic Examination Services . Proposals are due no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, January 9, 2026 .

The City of Anaheim (“City”)Police Department (“APD”) is issuing this Request for Proposal ("RFP") to qualified respondents for the collection of forensic evidence with respect to victims of sexual assault and other forms of interpersonal violence.

Background

The City of Anaheim is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive forensic medical examination services for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and other forms of interpersonal violence at designated facilities or other approved locations within Orange County in support of law enforcement activities. These forensic medical examinations are conducted to document injuries, collect and preserve physical evidence, and ensure appropriate medical care for victims while maintaining strict chain-of-custody protocols. Accordingly, the City of Anaheim intends to establish an agreement for a one-year term, with an option to renew for up to four (4) additional one-year periods, subject to satisfactory performance and budgetary approval.

The City issues this request for proposals (“RFP”) to qualified respondents to perform an informed procurement of the services described in the Scope of Services section that meet the requirements and standards described in the Scope of Services section (collectively, “Services(s)”). After selecting a successful respondent, the City will negotiate an agreement for the Services with a one-year term and up to four one-year extensions that substantially conforms to the requirements stated in Model Contract.

Any Agreement between the City and the successful respondent would take effect following approval by the City Council and execution of the parties.
