RESTORE New Sewer Lateral - Westport
Description:
This project involves the installation of both upper and lower sewer laterals from the
home's basement (dirt) to the manhole main located west of the home. The existing sewer
lateral, made of Orangeburg material, connects the home’s plumbing system to the
municipal sewer main, running from the basement to the street. Because this lateral is
degraded and allows for water infiltration, it needs to be plugged at the main without
excavation. This approach ensures compliance with local regulations and improves the
reliability of the system.
