The Town of Dracut, Massachusetts, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for the
Sawmill Drive Culvert Replacement, project in accordance with the documents prepared by Comprehensive Environmental, Inc., (a/k/a; CEI). Contract Documents are available as of October 9, 2024, by visiting

The work under this Contract includes the removal of the existing culverts, installation of the proposed 9.75’ span X 4.83’ rise 3-sided box culvert, any other associated work and all materials necessary to backfill, pave and complete work shown on the Contract Drawings. MassDOT prequalification of Contractors with the class of work as, Bridge- Culverts, for the project with an estimated value of $344,500 will be required.
Sealed bids will be accepted at the Dracut Town Hall, 62 Arlington St, Dracut, MA 01826, attention Barbara O'Connor, Purchasing Agent, until November 5, 2024, at 2PM when bids will be publicly opened and read forthwith. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified, treasurer's or cashier's check, bid bond or cash in the amount of 5 percent of the value of the Bid.
The bidding and award of the Contract shall be in full compliance with Section 39M of Chapter 30. Wages are subject to minimum wage rates determined by the Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards pursuant to MGL Chapter 149, §26 to 27H.
Selection of the contractor will be based upon bidder qualifications, including evidence of past performance in similar projects, and bid price. The contract will be awarded to the bidder deemed by the awarding authority to be the lowest responsible and eligible bidder.
