THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION, REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ), REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), OR INVITATION FOR BID (IFB). NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME AND THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT A SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED FOR THIS REQUIREMENT IN THE FUTURE. ANY PROPOSALS, QUOTES, OR BIDS SUBMITTED IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice, any follow up information requests, or Government use of the information provided.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Western Acquisition Division (WAD), Seattle, Washington (WA), on behalf of Southwest Fisheries Science Center (SWFSC), is conducting market research for an anticipated solicitation for Santa Cruz Laboratory (SCL) Facility Repairs and Replacement services.

SCL requires fume hood exhaust repairs, exterior fiberglass door replacements, sewage station electrical improvements and repairs, fresh water filtration improvements, and ultraviolet (UV) sterilizer improvements to improve the safety and efficiency of the SCL. The contractor shall furnish, install and confirm through testing all repairs and work is complete and systems are working properly. Services shall be complete in all respects and include labor, tools, materials, equipment, management, and supervision.

A draft Statement of Work (SOW) is provided for informational purposes only.

The applicable NAICS code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. This industry comprises establishments primarily responsible for the construction (including new work, additions, alterations, maintenance, and repairs) of commercial and institutional buildings and related structures, such as stadiums, grain elevators, and indoor swimming facilities. This industry includes establishments responsible for the on-site assembly of modular or prefabricated commercial and institutional buildings. Included in this industry are commercial and institutional building general contractors, commercial and institutional building for-sale builders, commercial and institutional building design-build firms, and commercial and institutional building project construction management firms.

INFORMATION REQUESTED:

NOAA may utilize the responses to this SSN to conduct additional market research. Information obtained from this SSN, and the subsequent communication with the vendors, if any, may be utilized to assist NOAA in developing a formal solicitation.
