The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) Healthcare Contracting Division – South (HCD-South) intends to award a firm-fixed-price sole source contract to Steris Corporation., for Consolidated Sterile Processing Equipment Maintenance and Repair support and services for the in support of the following Military Treatment Facilities (MTF): Columbus Air Force Base (AFB), Altus AFB, Tinker AFB, Vance AFB, Goodfellow AFB, Sheppard AFB, and Naval Air Station (NAS) Corpus Christi under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Only one source reasonably available. The applicable NAICS code is 811210, with a corresponding size standard of $34,000,000.00.

This notice is NOT a request for competitive quotes. All responsible sources may submit the information listed below, which shall be considered by the agency before the intended award date. The Government is seeking responses from businesses that are interested in this procurement and consider themselves to have the resources, rights, and capabilities necessary to provide these services. This Notice of Intent to Sole Source does not constitute a solicitation. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses incurred associated with responding to this Notice. A determination by the Government to continue with a sole source action, or to issue a competitive solicitation, will be made based on any responses received to this notice, and will be made solely at the Government’s discretion.

BACKGROUND

The following Military Treatment Facilities (MTF): Columbus Air Force Base (AFB), Altus AFB, Tinker AFB, Vance AFB, Goodfellow AFB, Sheppard AFB, and Naval Air Station (NAS) Corpus Christi have a follow-on requirement to provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to provide on-site preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance for Steris Corporation Equipment as defined in the Statement of Work (SOW) for each subject location. Furthermore, on-demand and telephone support may be required between the scheduled annual maintenance.
