This pre-solicitation notice is issued for informational purposes only to inform industry of an upcoming project requirement that will be solicited. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP). At this time, no solicitation exists; therefore, please do NOT request a copy of the solicitation, bid documents, specifications, or drawings. Responses or proposals are not required at this stage.
The USDA Forest Service Procurement and Property Services, Field Procurement Operations, Southwest Zone, Contract Service Area 6, on behalf of Region 5, is currently preparing a solicitation RFP to provide road repairs to various locations on the San Bernardino National Forest. Forest Service Roads 1N02, 1N05, and 1N17, which were damaged by Tropical Storm Hilary. For Road No. 1N02, the work involves removing and replacing asphalt concrete, conducting excavation and embankment construction, placing an aggregate base, and installing grouted riprap. Road No. 1N05 requires debris removal, road grading, excavation and embankment construction, installation of rolling dips, and the removal and installation of a corrugated metal spillway assembly. For Road No. 1N17, the tasks include debris removal, excavation and embankment construction, placing an aggregate base, roadway obliteration, and placing asphalt concrete.
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, non-personal services, and all items necessary to perform the project work and associated contract requirements. All work must be performed in strict compliance with the terms, specifications, drawings, and provisions outlined in the contract.
