Booth Space Rental at Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) Career Tech VISION 2024

Market research consisted of checking all required sources. This requirement is for a commercial product that is readily offered to the public. There are no government unique requirements. The commercial items definition in FAR 2.101 has been satisfied.

A Firm-Fixed-Price contract type is applicable to this requirement since it has a welldefined requirement, an experienced vendor providing the product, and there are stable market conditions. A detailed review of the tiered contracts listed at the U.S.

Government’s Acquisition Gateway website was conducted on 21 October 2024 and no Spend Under Management (SUM) contracts were identified that met the needs of the customer. A Tier 0 contract will be solicited and awarded to satisfy the customer’s valid

requirement. It is hereby determined that this procurement is commercial in nature pursuant to the definitions and constraints of FAR 2.100 and FAR 12.102.

On 22 October 2024, confirmation was received from the ACTE Senior Director, Strategic Events, that ACTE is the sole entity that can provide booth space at the CareerTech VISION 2024, being held in San Antonio, TX. A copy of the confirmation email

will be uploaded in the Paperless Contract File (PCF) in folder IA02. Based on the results of market research, it is determined that ACTE will be procured in accordance with (IAW) commercial procedures outlined in FAR Part 12.
