ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Sewerage System Improvements, Sewer Line
Rehabilitation, May 2026 will be received by the TOWN OF SALUDA COMMISSION OF
PUBLIC WORKS at the Commission of Public Works Office, 203 Greenwood Highway,
Saluda, South Carolina 29138, until 10:00 AM local time Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at which
time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. No submitted bid may be withdrawn
after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of ninety (90) days.
All Bidders must have a State of South Carolina Contractors License for the work classification
and group number pertaining to the work performed (i.e. WP, 1U, 2U, etc.)
The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor for the
construction of:
Rehabilitation of approximately 1,400 linear feet of 6 inch to 8 inch pipe bursting
including services, manhole rehabilitation, and appurtenances. Additional sewer
rehabilitation is included as Adder bid items and will be awarded based on base
bid prices and available construction funds.
Time allotted for this project is 120 consecutive calendar days for final completion
of work including punchlist items.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Turnipseed Engineers, Inc. 4210 Columbia
Road, Building 3, Augusta, Georgia 30907. Contact person is Stephanie Jones, 706-863-
8800, sjones@turnipseedengineers.com. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding
Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m. and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described
below.
Bidding Documents also may be examined at the office of the TOWN OF SALUDA
COMMISSION OF PUBLIC WORKS at 203 Greenwood Highway, Saluda, South
Carolina 29138, and the offices of the Engineer, Turnipseed Engineers, Inc., in Atlanta and
Augusta on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Plans and specifications must be obtained from Turnipseed Engineers at
https://turnipseed.com/current-projects/out-for-bid/. A digital copy of the plans and
specifications, as well as one printed copy of the specifications, will be provided upon receipt of
$100. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding
Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from
sources other than the Issuing Office.
A pre-bid conference will not be held.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
