The Family Supportive Housing Expansion program helps families who are actively searching for permanent housing and supports to achieve self-sufficiency, family stability and independent living.. An eligible parent can be pregnant or have at least one child in his/her physical custody at entry. Some exceptions can be made for parents who will be imminently reunited with children, when housing is the only remaining barrier to reunification. Families may have histories of homelessness, mental health issues, primary health issues, intimate partner violence and trauma in conjunction with their substance use disorder
