Description

The Naval Air Systems Command {NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a sole source, Firm Fixed Price {FFP) contract with Amphenol for the procurement of Fiber Optic Feedthrough Connector Assemblies for the Next Generation Jammer - Low Band {NGJLB) pod to support United States Navy {USN) requirements. This procurement will include the fabrication, assembly, integration, manufacturing, testing, delivery and documentation to build Fiber Optic Feedthrough Connector Assemblies, as well as preparation and delivery of technical information to support retrofit activities. The total estimated quantity for Fiber Optic Feedthrough Connector Assemblies is 12 (twelve). The period of performance is estimated to be twelve 12 months, with anticipated award date of July, 2025. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204{a)(l), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Amphenol is the only known source that possesses the requisite knowledge, engineering expertise, tooling and the technical data required to develop and produce the fiber optic connectors with the ceramic termini. The Government does not intend to use the provisions of FAR Part 12 for this acquisition. Firms interested in subcontracting opportunities may contact Amphenol.
