RFP26-013 Produce

Project Description: The purpose of this request for proposal is to solicit competitive proposals from qualified suppliers to provide fresh produce for the National School Lunch (NSLP), Breakfast (SBP), After School Snack Programs (ASSP), Seamless Summer Option (SSO) (hereafter referred collectively as “Nutrition Programs”) with top–quality, fresh fruit and vegetable items grown locally (Utah), domestically, and in all parts of the world for Ogden City School District (hereafter referred to as OSD) schools and students participating in these nutrition programs. OSD is intending to contract with one qualified Supplier to provide produce for all district schools. (see attached list). OSD currently participates in the Department of Defense (DoD) fruit and vegetable program. This request for proposal is for this supplemental amount, which constitutes approximately half of OSD’s produce needs for one school year. Suppliers must also demonstrate the ability to provide for all of OSD’s fresh produce needs in the event OSD discontinues with DoD produce during the course of this contract.
This RFP is designed to provide interested suppliers with sufficient basic information to submit proposals meeting minimum requirements, but it is not intended to limit a proposal’s content or exclude any relevant or essential data. Suppliers are at liberty and encouraged to expand upon the specifications to evidence service capability under any agreement.
All proposal preparation costs and any associated activities related to this RFP are the sole responsibility of the Supplier. OSD is not liable for any costs incurred throughout the entire selection process.
