Request for Qualifications For Contract 26-05 On-Call Architectural Design Services for the Town of Reading, MA
The Town of Reading is seeking responses for “On-Call” Architectural Design Services for capital improvement projects related to Town buildings. Services will be effective from August 2025 to July 2026 with two one-year options to renew from 2026 to 2028.
Sealed responses will be received at the Town Hall, Town Clerk’s office, 16 Lowell Street, Reading, MA 01867 until 1:00 p.m. on August 7, 2025.
The purpose of this RFQ is to develop a long-term working relationship with one or two firms for a three-year period, without having to request an RFQ on a project-by-project basis. This ultimately will save time and money for the Town of Reading. Our objectives are to become more time and cost effective; minimize the learning curve relative to a firm’s ability to become familiar with our buildings; and be more responsive to bidding critical projects by eliminating individual designer selection RFQ process for smaller projects.
A bid security in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer’s or cashier’s check is required in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid.
The Proposal, Specifications and Required Forms for the contract may be examined and downloaded via
https://www.readingma.gov/Bids.aspx
after 10am on July 16, 2025.
It is the responsibility of prospective proposers and or Proposers to check the Town of Reading’s website for new information any addenda or modifications to any solicitation.
By submission of a proposal, the proposer agrees that this proposal shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded after the opening of proposals.
The contract will be awarded under the provisions of M.G.L. c. 7C §§ 44-58.
The Town of Reading reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or to award or not to award the contract for any reason the Town Manager determines to be in the Town's and/or the public's best interest.
