Project: Flight School, Aircraft Rental, and Maintenance Shop Specialized Aeronautical Service Operator - Purchase of Ongoing Businesses
The Crawfordsville Regional Airport by its Board of Aviation Commissioners hereby gives notice that it will receive sealed proposals for the above described “Project” at the offices of the Airport, 759 West 400 South, Crawfordsville, Indiana 47933 until 10:00 a.m. EST on or before December 1, 2025. No late submissions will be accepted. The Airport will not be held responsible for mishandled, late, or lost qualification packages. Email and Facsimile qualifications will NOT be considered unless otherwise authorized.
The project scope is for a specialized aeronautical service operator (SASO) to purchase the Airport’s existing tools, equipment, parts, and ongoing businesses (flight school, aircraft rental, and maintenance) and thereafter continue to provide aircraft rental and flight training and aviation maintenance services at the Airport. This is subject to the Airport’s Minimum Standards. The proposal envelope must be sealed and have the words “Crawfordsville Regional Airport SASO”
Responses will be evaluated based upon the respondent’s documented ability to satisfy this RFP’s requirements. Both the threshold and selection criteria include the following:
1) Capability and verifiable experience to operate all aspects of the flight school, aircraft rental, and aircraft maintenance shop (40%); 2) Relevant experience qualifications, and certifications of key personnel, including resumes of key personnel (20%); 3) Knowledge of FAA standards, policies, and procedures (15%); 4) Understanding of the airport and business challenges (20%); and 5) price (5%). Minimum proposal price is set at $15,000.00.
