Overview

Summary

Pursuant to the Port St. Lucie City Code of Ordinance 35.07, this electronic IFB is being issued to establish a contract with a qualified proposer who will provide Pumps for Step Systems to the City of Port St. Lucie (hereinafter, “City”) as further described in this IFB.

With this Contract The City's Utilities Service Department would like to establish a rapport with a qualified proposer for the ongoing delivery of sewage pumps for Step Systems. These pumps are needed regularly to maintain the City's wastewater infrastructure and to maintain a high level of service offered by The Utilities Service Department.

Background

Upon assuming ownership of the utility, the City successfully embarked on an unparalleled multi phased water and wastewater expansion program that was funded using a property special assessment methodology. The low-pressure sewer system was best served to the Port St. Lucie’s residents in lieu of a gravity system. The low-pressure STEP Basin system assessment costs were substantially less than they would have been with a gravity system.

New: Electronic Bid Bond Submission Available

To improve efficiency and reduce paperwork, the City of Port St. Lucie now accepts Electronic Bid Bonds (eBonds) through approved electronic surety platform - Surety2000. Contractors may choose to submit a hard‑copy Bid Bond or an eBond, provided all requirements in this solicitation are met. Please see Section 5.1 - Bonds and/or Letter of Credit, Permits.
