Title: Collier Senior Center Expansion Project
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 7/17/2026
Due Date: 8/31/2026
This project, designed by PBK Architects, adds a 2,710 SF expansion to the existing 7,120 SF Senior Center and includes a weatherproof and hardening scope as well as the new construction for the addition. This is a partially grant-funded project. Scope details are provided later in this document.
The Collier Senior Center is located at 4898 Coronado Pkwy, Naples, Florida 34116 and will be vacant without use during construction. This project is grant funded and requires an expedited construction schedule.
The Collier Senior Center building is part of a larger site, including the Golden Gate Community Center, the Golden Gate Public Library, the Sheriff’s office, Collier County Tax Collector, Wheels Bicycle Moto Cross (BMX)/ Skate Park and Greater Naples Fire Rescue Station #70 which will remain operational throughout the project. The Collier Senior Center building is approximately 7,120 GSF.
The Collier Senior Center is a charitable organization dedicated to providing comprehensive information, services and resources for Collier County seniors and their caregivers. The Collier Senior Center building is currently used for a variety of community programs. The facility hosts the County’s daily hot lunch program, job placement and training for out-of-work and low-income seniors, a weekly Meals of Hope food pantry for all in need and other senior services. The structure is also used after emergency events as a recovery center.
Since its opening the senior population that uses the facility has grown tremendously, and the building has kept aging in the meantime. This growth triggered the need for more space and since the adjacent Golden Gate Library and the Senior Center share similar missions and support each other’s programs it was recognized how beneficial expanding the facility’s capacity would benefit the community.
