Project Description: The Austin ISD Police Department is seeking to acquire ARC Black Compact Response Shields (NIJ Rifle Level III) and specialized tactical pry tools. This procurement is a critical safety initiative mandated by Texas House Bill 33 (the "Uvalde Strong Act"), which requires all Texas school districts to have at least one ballistic shield and one breaching tool readily available on every campus by the beginning of the 2025–2026 school year.
