Lake Vista Safety Pool Cover

The City of St. Petersburg is seeking quotes from qualified vendors to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and incidentals necessary to remove and replace the existing safety pool cover at the Lake Vista Pool, located at 1450 60th Avenue South, St. Petersburg, FL 33705.

Lake Vista Pool is a seasonal municipal swimming pool that remains closed and covered during the off-season for approximately ten (10) months each year. The existing safety cover has reached the end of its useful service life due to significant tearing and prolonged ultraviolet (UV) sun exposure, resulting in deterioration of the cover material and reduced effectiveness.

The purpose of the safety cover is to secure the pool area during periods when the facility is not in operation by providing a protective barrier over the pool. The replacement cover shall provide long-term durability, resistance to weathering and ultraviolet degradation, and a secure anchoring system to maintain the safety of the facility throughout the off-season.
